Athena Grayson writes stories about people who are a little left of center, finding their own way towards Happily Ever After. People who aren’t afraid to re-define themselves or find a “new normal” because the old “normal” is simply a dryer setting. Her latest book, Rude Awakening, begins the WinterJacked cycle–an Otherworldly mid-life crisis where forty is just about the right time in life to start believing in magic again.
Athena enjoys finding the storytelling angle in just about everything–the “Great Narrative” of life, so to speak, and finds that the Universe frequently operates according to the FTW law–things happen because it’s Funnier That Way.
She lives in Ohio with her family and enjoys introducing her children to all the geeky, nerdy, wonderful things that made an impact on her own childhood. Her biggest life lesson so far has been that it’s always about reinventing yourself. She’s also an avid computer gamer and thinks RPGs are the next big thing in storytelling.
